Resurrection

Coming a day after Easter, this feels sort of apt. To all the people who used to read the old blog - my apologies for the year-long absence; to all new readers, and may there be many of ye, welcome to the marginally insane and always eventful train of thought of The Jinx. The events of the past year have forced me to take a good look at myself, and to reinvent certain parts of me; but I remain, in essence, the same old spirit. I also got a little sick of writing the juvenile crap I wrote in the earlier blog - it's fun to write that stuff at times, but you get sick of it after a while. Not that I had much choice, though - writing in Malaysia can be severely restrictive, since it is, after all, a "guided democracy" - a prime oxymoron, that is - and I really didn't want to get myself jailed before I'd been in a real relationship. I still haven't been in a real relationship, so expect more political correctness, and forgive my cowardice; however, I do intend to write at least some of the things bouncing around in my head, relatively uncensored. To the new blog, my new outlook on life, and to the eternal mysteries of the universe, like Paris Hilton and Guided Democracies, therefore, Salut.
